Return to work program/Functional Capacity Evaluations
One tool we use to determine when it is safe for an injured worker to return to their job is a Functional Capacity Evaluation.
It is a detailed assessment of a person’s ability to function in their job. It can lead to their return to work in an appropriate fashion, or the closure of a case. It is an essential part of the process for Worker’s Compensation claims or disability claims.
We can also provide a general purpose FCE in which standardized testing and measures are utilized on all workers being evaluated. It is used in cases when a worker does not yet have a specific duty or functional work requirement because it helps to assess a candidate’s compatibility with specific work tasks.
